Dr. Ashley Risner enjoys practicing here in her hometown of Nacogdoches, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University and her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Risner also completed a residency in Low Vision Rehabilitation based at The Center for Sight Enhancement in Houston, Texas. Her advanced training includes: ocular therapeutics, glaucoma, and low vision. Dr. Risner is a member of the Pineywoods Optometric Association, Texas Optometry Association, and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Gerardo Saldaña is originally from Brownsville, TX. He specializes in primary eye care, evaluation of eye diseases, treatment of minor eye injuries, and the evaluation and fitting of contact lenses. Dr. Saldaña is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Saldaña is licensed by the Texas Optometry Board as a Therapeutic Optometrist with Glaucoma Priviledges.
Dr. Melanie Rushing was born in Lufkin, TX and was raised in nearby Broaddus, TX. She began practicing optometry upon graduating from University of Houston College of Optometry in 2002. Dr. Rushing enjoys working with patients of all ages, and one of her primary interests is fitting contact lenses. Dr. Rushing is licensed by the Texas Optometry Board as a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.
